Mitosis, Literally

When Alyssa donned her mask and costume as the biokinetic superhero Mitosis, she didn’t worry about the risks—not when she could patch herself up by summer’s end.
After a disaster inflicts a wound that stretches her power to its limits and puts her lives on hold, she finds her world—and self—split in two.
Bound by necessity to her new twin, Alyssa is forced to learn a skill she’s avoided for her entire life: how to live with herself.

Mitosis, Literally follows a young woman’s day-to-day struggles to find her own meaning in a life she must now share, in spite of her debilitating condition. The circumstances surrounding this struggle involve dark themes that readers should be aware of: depression and suicide, severe bodily harm, violence, and body horror. While these themes aren’t the primary focus, they are part of the core of the work and as such are recurrent throughout.

This is currently a work in progress. Updates are not going to be regular, however they will be published regularly upon completion of an arc. Understand that there may be changes to published chapters as I work through it or flesh out the world around the story, but nothing that will fundamentally alter the narrative.

Update: Story is on indefinite hiatus due to structural problems detailed in my blog posts.
